ITEC is an ISTE affiliate who promotes the use of technology in education by demonstrating to its members, other educators and the public developments in the use of educational technology and how its use supports teaching and learning. The ITEC Conference is October 11-13, 2015. It will be held at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, IA. The conference is open to all educators and administrators in Iowa and beyond.
Kids are curious and creative thinkers, and technology is a way to inspire and cultivate these traits.. We have learned to weave technology into the landscape of the classroom in a purposeful way; in part we have been inspired by the Universal Constructs. This past summer, we offered a technology class for kids to give them a chance to to create, collaborate, communicate, and think critically as they planned out ideas and stories. Our session will share information from this and also about the Universal Constructs. We will share how you can take these same concepts into your own classroom.
